Men's Health > Gynecomastia

Gynecomastia is the development of abnormally large breasts in males.  This condition while not life threatening often results in embarrassment as some men have larger boobs than some women.

Causes:

Medical science argues that there is no determined cause, however it is known that the condition occurs naturally due to:

  • Childhood
  • Environmental poisons
  • Obesity
  • Body building

A child receiving an excess of female hormones from the mother during gestation can cause excess growth to occur in adolescence and later in life. However for this to occur, it is supposed that the mother must have a hormonal imbalance which leads back to a likelihood of environmental poisoning. Even infant formulas can contain agricultural chemical residues that mimic estrogens and hormones.

Environmental poisoning is a root cause of many health problems as our world is awash in agricultural and industrial chemicals. In large doses, these chemicals may kill, but their residues that contaminate most of our foods mimic estrogens and hormones causing birth defects and growth disorders.

Obesity is at the root of so many health disorders and man boobs are another factor that may be compounded by other causes.  Here the body is expanding and accumulating fat where it can and the breasts are a good location as women's breasts often grow as their body weight increases.

Bodybuilders commonly develop proportionally larger breasts due to the use of anabolic steroids which can lead to an excess of testosterone which is converted into estrogens.

One can say that man boobs are caused by an imbalance of estrogens and hormones or the body tissue responsiveness to them, this is only part of the equation and a symtom of an unhealthy lifestyle.

Consequences:

While the condition is physically harmless, in adolescent boys the condition is often a source of distress as they become the but of jokes and subject to bullying. But for the large majority of boys whose pubescent gynecomastia is not due to obesity, the breast development may shrinks or disappear within a couple of years.

Cures:

Most men adapt and live with this condition, but where its a problem, the options traditionally are surgery and liposuction as shown in the videos below, but if having man boobs is a problem in your life, diet and exercise are te only natural solutions.

The real cure is in restoring our planet to health and your children's children will be less likely to suffer.
